Last year was great success and we are hoping that this year will be better. The date is set for Saturday October 2nd. The music is nearly booked and the beer is ordered. As well a great German beer we will be featuring beers from Spain and Denmark. I have throughout the past year been smpling different beers and judging their suitabiltity for the Beer festival. I have also set myself the task of flying to Denmark in August to sample beers from Fanø brewery. This is a small island 4km by 14km that boasts a local brewery. Their Christmas beer in 2009 was a pure delight. I am off to bring back a selection of their finest brews. Somebody has to do these chores.

With the 90's Danish backlash against bland beers there was a Krakatoa type explosion of microbreweries in Danmark.

The narrow path runs alongside the River Guadiaro and the railway line that was constructed back in the 19th century by the Algeciras-Gibraltar Railway Company. As well as laying the track the company also built numerous railway stations in typical English style.
