Located in Serrania de Ronda in the middle of the Guadiaro valley. The village is 26 kilometres form Ronda and sits at an altitude of 539 metres. The population is approximately 450 inhabitants. The residents are known as Jimeranos. Jimera is divided into two separate but neighbouring parts: the village itself that sits on the side of the mountain, and the estacion district on the banks of the River Guadiaro.
